Fix: no speaker or headphones are plugged in
Sometimes in Windows, we plug speakers or headphones in 3.5 mm jack but did not get any sound. This error is quite annoying because sometimes we just want to enjoy music on speakers but this error does not let play audio on speakers.

But don’t worry we got you covered. Here are some methods that will solve your issue regarding speakers and headphone.
Solution 1: Disable and Enable Sound Card
STEP 1 – Right Click on Windows button and Select Device Manager.
STEP 2 – It will open DeviceManager window, locate Sound,Video and game controllers, double click on it to expand it.
Step 3 – Now, right click on your sound card and disable it.
Step 4 – Restart your PC.
Step 5 – Now, go back to same place and right click and enable the sound card again.
Solution 2 – Disable front panel jack detection in Realtek HD audio manager
Note: -You must have realtek HD audio manager installed on your system.
1. Open Realtek HD Audio Manager
2. click on the Settings (wrench style icon).
3. Toggle the slider Off on Disable front panel jack detection to disable the headphone jack.
Method 3 – With command prompt
1 – Open command prompt as administrator.
2 – Now, type the following command given below and hit enter.
net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice3 – Next type the command given below in command prompt and hit enter.
net localgroup Administrators /add localservice4. Now, close the command prompt window.

5 – Restart your PC.
Solution 4 – Uninstall the audio driver
STEP 1 – Right Click on Windows button and Select Device Manager.
STEP 2 – It will open DeviceManager window, locate Sound,Video and game controllers, double click on it to expand it.
STEP 3 – Select your audio device (i.e. Realtek High Definition Audio) from the list and open Properties from Right Click menu.
STEP 4 – Head over to the driver tab and Click Uninstall.
Reboot your device after finishing the process. It will install your audio driver again and solve your problem. If this method did not work for you try updating your audio driver.
Solution 5 – Update the Audio Driver
Speakers/headphones not working issue might be due to the outdated drivers in your computer. This issue can be resolved by updating audio drivers. To update your Audio driver follow this simple process.
Repeat first three steps from above method and then follow below steps.
STEP 4 – In the driver tab, click on the Update Driver button.
STEP 5 – Select Browse my computer for driver software option.
STEP 6 – Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer option.
STEP 7 – Select Device Driver (i.e. High Definition Audio) and click Next. It will give you a warning about updating driver, Click on yes and it will begin updating your driver.
STEP 8 – Click Close after finishing updating driver.
